Chocolate Cookies for baby shower favors?

My sister is giving me a baby shower next week and we agreed that I would care of the favors. I always thought having edible favors, because most people do not keep the memories inexpensive. So I thought cooking large chocolate chip cookies, cover with plastic wrap and tying a pink ribbon around the top. What do you think of this as a favor? On Site of Martha Stewart, she does the same thing with chocolate muffins.
